Our team of directors consist of Emily, Nikki & Jenny. Along with the rest of team we believe in ensuring that all individuals have the right to access the same opportunities in life - regardless of age, race, gender or abillity.
We love our work and have enjoyed seeing individuals progress in many areas of their lives - whether it be self-esteem, friendships, independance skills or just having fun! The service has opened up many opportunites for people - both indivdials as well as those around them such as carers / families. With a great understanding and empathy for some of the difficulties that people may face - we strive to offer the best level of support to challenge barriers and to support people to move foward.
Emilys role within the service includes managing staff & volunteers, safeguarding lead, risk assesments, planning and organising our outings and supporting individuals to link with key services outside of LGS to ensure they are always getting the best support with any issues they may be facing at the time.
Welcome to our 'meet the team' page - here you can read about who we all are and what we do!

Our Voluntary Support Workers
Megan Husher - Senior Support Worker & Admin Assistant
As well as being a very busy mum of four, caring for her horses, helping out with lots of activities in her local community and studying for her Diploma in Health & Social Care- Megan also volunteers with LGS!
She is passionate about her work with LGS and supports individuals on outings as well as helping with the paperwork side of things - bookings, diaries of events as well as supporting the training of new volunteers.
Here's what Megan says about her work with LGS:
' I absolutely love volunteering with LGS. I believe everyone should be given the opportunity to socialise with their peers, and LGS gives many the opportunity to do that, and I'm extremely proud to be part of it. I love meeting all our clinets, new and old and watching friendships form. It's what makes it worth it!'
Rachel - Senior Support Worker
Rachel has been with LGS for some time now! She is great with our clients and has enjoyed her time with us so much that she is now studying at Uni to enter a career in nursing! Rachel's role in LGS is to support our clients as well as supervise and train new volunteers.
Barry - Support Worker
Barry has previous experience in support work through his role in working with adults with brain injuries. He came to LGS to explore support work in another field and has been with us ever since! Barry loves seeing the benefits that our clients get from our service and has been on hand to support everyone in whatever situations they may face!
Jemma - Support Worker
